A vibrant learning community in the IJburg neighborhood: that is Laterna Magica. Our after-school care center at Eva Besnyöstraat 491 in Amsterdam is an integral part of Laterna Magica. We challenge children to play, explore, cooperate, create and learn. Each child has its own development plan. So your child can make their own videos, dance in the dance theater, cook, make music, sing, play sports, program, do technical experiments, work in the vegetable garden, take care of animals, create or read. We call it natural learning.
Laterna Magica's pedagogical and didactic concept of “natural learning” is a conscious choice. You therefore attend an information meeting before you decide to enroll your child.

We accommodate children from OBS Laterna Magica. So your child does not have to cross the street after school, but can go straight to the cozy spaces of our after school care.
