What is a daycare?
At a nursery, children aged 0 to 4 years are cared for and supervised throughout the day by qualified staff, our educational professionals. The daycare day consists of fixed, recognisable moments for activities, eating, drinking, playing and, of course, the necessary rest periods. Thanks to the daily structure, rest and personal attention, the children gain more and more self-confidence and enjoy the challenging activities and relaxation with each other, tailored to the age and needs of each child.
Horizontal and vertical groups at the nursery
At a nursery, children are cared for in horizontal or vertical groups. In horizontal groups, children are divided by age (0-2 and 2-4 years), while in a vertical group, children from 0 to 4 years are together.
Difference with childminder care or after-school care (bso)?
- Childminder care is often smaller in scale and takes place at the childminder's home.
- After school care is intended for children aged 4 and above who attend school. We offer before- and after school care, care during study days and holiday care.
At what age can children start attending nursery?
Most children are 10 weeks or older when they start attending our nursery. This means you can bring your child before your maternity leave ends, for example. This gives both you and your baby plenty of time to get used to the nursery.
Toddler to nursery or toddler care
Of course, you can also choose to send your child to childcare from the age of 2. Many of our nurseries have one or more toddler groups (2-4 years), but there are also locations where only toddler care is offered or in combination with after-school care.
This allows your child to get used to a more school-like rhythm with fixed times in a familiar environment. In addition, your toddler will learn important social skills through play, and we organise challenging activities every day. Some toddler groups also offer pre-school and early years education. We use extra activities to stimulate your child's development in the areas of language and arithmetic, motor skills and social skills. This ensures that your child is well prepared for the transition to primary school.

"A great daycare with very kind and involved educational staff, a well-designed (play) garden, and super fun activities like dancing together in the morning (it's truly a joy to watch!). They work with themes and continually refresh their activity offerings. They really focus on the development and well-being of the children. The kids are challenged, stimulated, have fun, and are given the space to learn from and with each other. Each child is looked at individually, and the staff work closely with parents. We are very satisfied with the care!" — Joni, mother of Morris
