Are there still waiting lists for childcare?
Yes, but this varies per location. It depends on various factors, such as how busy a location is, the number of new registrations, cancellations from other parents and staffing levels.
Do childcare waiting times vary by region?
Waiting times for our childcare can vary greatly by region. In some areas, demand exceeds the number of available places.
In the North Holland, North, East and South regions, most locations have immediate availability. In the Rotterdam region, you can often join us right away.
In the Amsterdam and Utrecht regions, there is a waiting period of approximately three months, depending on the age of your child.
Please note: this may vary per location. Therefore, always contact our Support department for more information or read more about our planning process here.
When will I be placed on the waiting list?
In some regions, the demand for childcare is currently very high. This means that there may not be immediate availability. In that case, we will place you on the waiting list. This is entirely without obligation and there are no costs involved. We will contact you as soon as a place becomes available.
How does childcare planning work?
Once you have been placed on the waiting list, we will look at preferences and priority positions. Which day do we have a place available and which child was first on the waiting list for that day? In addition, siblings and children who already have a place with us are given priority.
If you are a parent and would like to know how the planning is going in the meantime, please send an email to planning@partou.nl. Would you like to know more about the planning? Read more about it in the article in which our planner Sharona explains how we plan childcare.
Do waiting times for childcare vary depending on the type of childcare?
The factors that influence the waiting list are the same for all types of childcare: after-school care (bso), nursery and toddler care.
Please note: for after school care, availability sometimes depends on your child's primary school. We only pick up children from schools with which we collaborate. On the location page of your preferred after school care location, you can see which schools we pick up children from. The number of places per school is sometimes limited.
How long are the waiting times and when will there be a place available?
We understand that you would like to know when your child can start. Unfortunately, it is difficult to give a clear answer in advance. The length of the waiting list does not indicate exactly when a place will become available.
This is because the situation is constantly changing. New registrations, cancellations and staff planning all have an impact on this. As soon as a place becomes available, we will notify you or send you an offer.
If you would like to change anything in your registration, such as the number of days or the desired start date, please contact us. This will not affect your place on the waiting list.
What happens after I register via the website?
After you register, we will check whether there is a place available immediately. If so, you will receive a digital agreement for childcare. You have six days to respond.
If there is no place available at that time, your child will be placed on the waiting list. Again, we cannot give a fixed waiting time. Waiting times can vary from week to week. Would you like to take a look at the location? You are always welcome to do so. You can easily schedule a tour online.
Who will contact me when a place becomes available?
As soon as a place becomes available for your child, the location planner will contact you. You will receive an email with all the information about the childcare options. You will have six days to respond. If you accept within that period, you will receive a digital childcare agreement that you can easily sign online.
How can I increase my chances of getting a place?
If you are flexible in your requirements, you are more likely to find a place quickly. For example, by specifying different locations or choosing days when it is quieter, such as Wednesdays or Fridays. You can register your child at multiple locations to increase your chances of finding a place.
As a parent, you can also start with one day of childcare and then expand as soon as more days become available.
Would you like to change your preferences? You can do so at any time without affecting your place on the waiting list. You can easily do this via the contact form on mijnpartou.nl.
What should I do if I no longer need childcare?
Please let us know if you no longer need childcare and therefore no longer wish to be on the waiting list. This will allow us to keep it up to date. You can easily notify us of this via the contact form on mijnpartou.nl.
Are there alternatives in case of long waiting times?
If the waiting time for childcare is too long, we will be happy to discuss other options with you. You can contact us via the contact form on mijnpartou.nl. We will respond with more information within three working days.
Who gets priority?
Parents who already use our childcare services are given priority for new registrations. Partou employees also have priority. This does not always mean that there will be a place available on the desired start date. We do our best to help everyone as much as possible.
My child already attends Partou and is expecting a little brother or sister. What should I do?
Congratulations! We hope that we will be able to welcome the little brother or sister to a Partou location as well. You can easily register a little brother or sister using this form or via the parent app. The same applies if you are moving house.
